This month Let's Create 3 beautiful cards made with Flower Soft. This is a wonderful way to add dimension and texture to your cards. We had so much fun at the Flower Soft booth at CHA seeing all of their new products. We are featuing some of those new products in this month's class. The picture does not do the cards justice, they must be seen in person to really appreciate the depth and dimension of these cards. I hope you can join us in creating these 3 works of art! September Copic Spin-Off Class

Come join us to create 3 different cards using 3 different techniques.  On the first card we will be painting our color onto the stamp.  It is a mixture of a distress marker, liquid pearls and water which gives you a light shimmery look.  For the second card we will be using the first method and adding copic markers to highlight certain areas.  We will also use hand dyed seam binding to accent the card.  On the third card we will use the distress marker and copic markers.  The cost of this class is $12.00.

Let's Create a two page Scrapbook page layout this month.  You will learn how to make your own Chevron Stripes which are very popular right now.  The Chevron Stripes can be made in any width or length to meet your scrapbooking or cardmaking project.  We will be adding some strips of scrapbooking paper cut to look like flags and then add some Candi Dots to finish off the project!  These are pictures of Franki and I with Tim Holtz at the 2012 Summer Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Convention.  The cost of this class is $15.00.

August Demo & Make-N-Take...

Just a quick reminder that our Demo & Make-N-Take is Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 10:30am to 1:30pm! We are so excited to be diving into a NEW coloring medium, Lyra Aquacolor Crayons! If you haven't heard of them or used them, Let's Create is the place to be this Saturday! It has been so much fun to play and experiment with them. A Successful Used Craft Sale...

A Huge "Thank You" goes out to all of the wonderful customers of Let's Create for making our Used Craft Sale a success! Just look at ALL of the awesome goodies that were brought in for the sale! It was a complete success all the way around. The staff of Let's Create is planning to have another sale... in February or March of 2013. Again "Thank You" to all of the customers that took part!

Used Craft Sale at Let's Create...

Let's Create is having a Used Craft Sale that is open to all crafters. The sale dates are Friday, August 10th from 12:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday, August 11th from 10:00am-4:00pm. All types of crafting items are allowed. Each customer will be given store credit in the amount of their items sold. Your store credit must be used by September 30, 2012. Stop in to pick up your Used Craft Sale Seller Packet or come and shop at the sale for some great bargains on used stamps, scrapbooking supplies, etc...

August Prismacolor Pencil Class

Let’s Create a beautiful card that depicts one of my favorite leisure time activities.  This is an image by the NEW line Wags ‘n Whiskers called “A Good Book” that was added to Let’s Create last month. In this class we will be focusing on light source and how to create the correct blending throughout the whole image. I would love to have you join me in this fun and informative class. Ribbon Class with Lori

Let's Create together a beautiful card while learning how to dye your own ribbon and tie a bow with the "Bow Easy".  You will be creating the background image on this card also.  Then we will be adding some Zva "bling" and using corsage pins that we will add colored pearls to and stick them behind your bow to finish off this card.  You will also have enough of your own hand dyed ribbon to go home and make two more cards.  The cost of this class is $7.50.

Scrap with Lori

Let's Create a gorgeous 12 x 12 Scrapbook page while learning how to make your own flat or raised flowers using Spellbinder Dies, along with other dies and punches.  You can either add this page to your Scrapbook or place it in a Shadow Box and hang it on your wall as I have done.  Shadow Boxes will be available for purchase along with a variety of Scrapbook Albums.  The cost of this class is $15.00.

August Copic Class

This month Let's Create a cute card for the men in your life.  This stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs.  I choose the moose fishing since it is hard to create men's cards.  We will be using some of the new Copic marker colors that were released for 2012.  If you haven't purchased them already, be sure to the next time you stop in.  The cost of this class is $5.00.
